- Using several paper towels, wipe and dry griddle's surface, directing excess grease, oil and food debris into hole in griddle.
- Apply small amounts of neutral cooking oil such as vegetable or canola across griddle's surface.
- Using paper towels, rub oil evenly around entire cooking surface. Use more paper towels if needed to wipe up excess pools of oil.
- Avoid using oven cleaners, abrasive cleansers (kitchen cleansers), cleaners that contain citrus products and abrasive cleaning pads.
