Inspired by classic desserts, these coolly elegant treats re-create Baked Alaska and crème brûlée using premium ice cream. Made for us by an East Coast confectioner, the single-serving tortes start with a layer of delicategénoisesponge cake. Experts add rich ice cream prepared in-house using fresh cream, egg yolks, real fruit and Madagascar Bourbon vanilla. Each treat is finished with a sweet crowning touch.
Baked Alaska:Tiers ofgénoisecake, strawberry ice cream and vanilla ice cream, topped with swirl of toasted meringue.
Crème Brûlée:Decadent crème anglaise ice cream set on vanillagénoisecake, finished with caramelized sugar crust.
- Set of 12 tortes includes 6 of each flavor.
- 3 lb. 12 oz. total.
- Shipped frozen.
Receiving Instructions
- Tortes ship frozen with dry ice, which may have evaporated during shipment. This is normal. Please take care not to touch any remaining dry ice with bare hands.
- Upon receipt, remove tortes from shipping container and store unopened in freezer for up to 3 months, or opened for up to 1 month.
Serving Instructions
- Tortes are best enjoyed frozen.
Baked Alaska Torte
- Cake Base: Sugar, enriched wheat flour (niacin, iron, thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid), modified food starch, canola oil, wheat starch, nonfat dry milk, leavening (sodium aluminum phosphate, acidic with aluminum sulfate, sodium bicarbonate), emulsifier (propylene glycol, mono and diester of fat, mono and diglycerides, lecithin), salt, wheat gluten, natural flavor, sodium stearoyl lactylate, cellulose gum.
- Ice Cream: Cream, milk, sugar, strawberries, egg yolks, skim milk, natural vanilla.
- Meringue Topping: Dextrose, egg whites, modified food starch, gum arabic, calcium, lactate, sodium aluminum sulfate, tartaric acid, pure vanilla.
Crème Brûlée Torte
