Preparation Instructions
- 1 package pizza crust mix (included)
- 1 yeast packet (included)
- 1 cup (250ml) warm water (110°F to 115°F/43°C to 46°C)
- 1 tsp. vegetable oil
- Flour, for dusting
- Pizza sauce, cheese and toppings as desired
Position rack in lower third of oven and place pizza stone on rack. Set oven to 500°F (260°C) and preheat stone for 30 minutes or according to manufacturer's instructions.
Put pizza crust mix and yeast in bowl of electric mixer and whisk to combine. Fit mixer with dough hook. In measuring cup, combine warm water and oil. Pour into mixer bowl and beat on medium-low speed until dough forms, about 1 minute. Remove bowl from mixer, cover with plastic wrap and let dough rest for 20 minutes. Divide dough in half.
On well-floured work surface, roll out 1 piece of dough into 12-inch (30-cm) round.
Transfer to floured pizza peel and top with pizza sauce, cheese and toppings. Carefully slide pizza onto preheated stone. Bake until crust is crisp and cheese is bubbly, 12 to 14 minutes. Repeat with remaining dough, sauce, cheese and toppings.
Makes two 12-inch (30-cm) pizzas.
