WHY WE LOVE IT

• Add a French-style finish to grilled steak or roasted beef with our time-saving sauce. Made according to tradition, it's slow-simmered with Bordeaux wine, beef stock and demi-glace for complex flavor. The sauce is enhanced with mirepoix, shallots and spices, then reduced until it's exceptionally rich and thick. Just heat it and serve it with your favorite cut of beef. The versatile sauce is also delicious with chicken, pork or duck.

RECEIVING INSTRUCTIONS

• Sauce ships fresh at ambient temperature.
• Upon receipt, store at room temperature for up to 18 months. Once opened, store in refrigerator and enjoy within 6 months.

PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS

• Rest 1 lb. (500g) steak at room temperature for 30–45 minutes. Pat dry and season both sides with kosher salt and black pepper.
• In fry pan, sear steak until it reaches desired doneness. Transfer to platter to rest. Pour off excess fat from pan. Pour finishing sauce in pan. Stir over low heat until hot, scraping up any browned bits from pan bottom, approx. 2–5 minutes, or until desired consistency is reached.
• Spoon sauce oversteak.
• If desired, garnish with fresh thyme.
